径向交会对接（radial rendezvous and docking）指载人飞船以垂直的方式，从下面和空间站组合体进行交会对接。神舟十三号就要以这种方式与空间站组合体进行交会对接，这项技术的难度非常大，到目前为止没有在太空当中验证过，所以神舟十二号在回家之前要对这项技术进行验证。
