How should I say?

当你不知道怎么说（一件事或一个词）的时候，最简单粗暴的表达就是以下4种了：文章源自西贝博客-https://qinghe.me/how-should-i-say-in-english.html

• How should I say?
• How do I put it?
• How should/can/do I say (something) in English？
• How do you say....in English？

I don’t know what to say.

有没有被气炸肺的经历？有没有顿时语塞的时候？有没有因为太过激动不知所云？有没有一些时候很无语？

如果有，这句话一定是你需要知道的。

《绯闻女孩》中有这么一句对白：

So I guess just consider this a peace offering.

我想你就当它是件小小的礼物吧。

You'll look great.

你穿会很好看的。

I, uh. . . I don't-- I don't know what to say.

有时候，我们是真的找不到合适的表达方式，这时就可以通过这句话来表达。

下面这段话来自于古特雷斯在TED关于António Guterres: Refugees have the right to be protected中的一段话，大家可以感受下这个场景。

I remind you of one thing: in Turkey, at the beginning of the crisis, I remember one minister saying, " Turkey will be able to receive up to 100,000 people." Turkey has now two million three-hundred thousand or something of the sort, if you count all refugees.

我要强调一件事：我记得在难民危机初期， 土耳其的一位官员曾说过，“土耳其最多能接收10万难民。”但现在，大约共有230万难民居住在土耳其。

类似的说法还有something like that,something of that kind,or something or other,or whatever (you call it)。

a sort of ..., you know.

这个a sort of..., you know最适合想了半天却什么也没想出来的场合，让对方从你说话的场景中去判断你要表达的意思。

下面的这几句话来自The Lion King-《狮子王》的对白：

This is just for you and your daddy.

这是你跟你爸爸的事。

You know, a sort of father-son thing.

就是那种父子之间的事。

Well, I'd better go get him.

好了 我得去找他了。

You know what I mean.

话到此处，我们这部分的内容就快讲完了，那么，无论对话进行多久，亦或者是在这个过程中说了些什么，这句话可以作为你的最后总结。

意思就是说：“你懂得。”

《广告狂人》第五季有这么一段对白：

现在他们想生产一种酒卖给正常人。

You know what I mean-- people like me.

你知道我什么意思 就是我这种人。

I think they're open to anything,

我觉得他们会接受任何点子，

but it has to be cheap, surprise, but impactful.

但是要性价比高 有惊喜 有震撼力。
